Queen's Shadow [part 3/4]
Welcome to our third of four check-in and discussion posts for our Book of the Month.
This month’s book is Queen's Shadow by E.K. Johnston
3/4 of the book seems to be right around the part where Chapter 22 begins. Spoilers up to that point in the post and comments below. I know this is going to vary as different versions are out there. I think my eBook might have some preview of another Star Wars book at the end which I hadn't really accounted for when we began (live and learn?).
Queen’s Shadow: Part 3 of 4
1. So the romance between Sabé and Tonra escalated quicker than I expected. What are your thoughts on it?
2. Do you think anything's going to come of the subplot thread about the holonets/media?
3. In this section of the book, we've visited both Alderaan and Naboo - what do you think of the two worlds? What do you think the underlying purpose for these visits might've been?
4. On a scale of 1 to 10, how delightful is a snarky R2-D2? (yes, a leading question - LOL)
5. How are you liking the book so far? Any other thoughts? Predictions?
FYI - There's no need to answer all (or any) of the questions above - they're just talking points to get us started. Informal chatter is more than welcome! In-person book clubs often veer off topic, it's okay if we do as well. :)
All I ask is that you try to avoid spoilers for things past the first 3/4 of the book.
