This begs the question of which version of the original you're watching...

Rogue One really hits different after watching Andor. You see how BABY faced he and Jyn and Bodi all were (compared to Diego Luna filming Andor) and it's just. Man. They gave up so much.

I decided to watch Solo, as I'd only seen that once before and couldn't remember much about it, and now I'm watching A New Hope to see how much of Han from Solo I see in ANH. One of the things I realised I'd been unconsciously expecting to see in Solo but didn't was how Han ended up with those stripes on his trousers, which I'm sure some of the comics and books describe as being a sign of a Corellian military award of some kind.

I was also rather surprised at how long Solo felt - as if there was an extra act shoehorned in there somewhere. It did make me think about something I read in relation to Andor, where a lot of local rebellions came about not because the Empire was autocratic or fascist or oppressive as much as they did because the members of the local Imperial forces were corrupt and abusive towards people.
