FREE WEEKEND + feedback for structure

Next week we'll dive into Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston - details about that are here on July 2023 post

I've updated the community graphic and added some alt-text to the image on the community profile.

I'm interested in feedback as to the structure of our monthly books.
I'm considering a possible format change where we'd alternate each month with a selected book (as we do currently) and a month with a theme where we all read what we like from that theme and talk about what we've read. Themes would be something like Disney era, Legends, High Republic, movie novelization, book #2 of a series, etc.
I welcome input on this idea or any additional ideas participants would like to discuss.

For now, the FAQ post outlines our August & September books. Upcoming reads is our 'tbr' queue that we pull from once we moved away from polls. Suggestions have been low, but the randomizer does help ;p

I also welcome anyone who may want to take the reins in discussing comics. I did not keep up with that very well, but want to open this space up for those who may be interested.

I like the new banner, and the way it implies we'll go to any lengths to get some quiet reading time in!

I think that theme months could be fun, but I know I could do with advice on what the possible themes are, and perhaps where to start. I'm conscious that I've only read a small fraction of the total number of Star Wars novels, and I don't really have any idea about which books are considered must-reads. I'd actually really like a set of recs - although when I look for books to suggest, I often tend to go by a combination of what looks interesting and what's available cheaply inebook format...

I've almost finished my read-through of all the Dark Horse Star Wars comics in in-universe chronological order! But when I've done that, I've got to start again with the Marvel Star Wars comics...
