Welcome to our third of four check-in and discussion posts for our Book of the Month.
This month’s book is Into the Dark by Claudia Gray
Part III, Chapters 14-19
Into the Dark Part 3 of 4
1. The adage "ask forgiveness, not permission" seems to be embraced by both Affie and the Vessel crew as well as Orla, Reath, and Cohmac. Is the fact that none of them are on "official" missions significant?
2. Affie's revelations have created a rift between her and her foster mother (even if Scover isn't aware yet). Does the Council's delay in returning to the station have a similar impact on Reath?
3. Nan and Hague seem pretty clearly part of the Nihil. Were Nan an Hague simply caught up in events and lying low earlier, or where they intentionally scouting? Any idea which group of Nihil they are with?
4. What are your hopes for the ending?
FYI - There's no need to answer all (or any) of the questions above - they're just talking points to get us started. Informal chatter is more than welcome! In-person book clubs often veer off topic, it's okay if we do as well. :)
All I ask is that you try to avoid spoilers for things past Part III of the book.
