Welcome to our first of four check-in and discussion posts for our Book of the Month.
This month’s book is Heir to the Jedi by Kevin Hearne
Part 1: Prologue, Chapters 1-6
Heir to the Jedi Part 1
1. The book is written in first person. Do you find that puts you right in the pilot seat (so to speak) or does it throw you off? Have you read any other books in first person and what were your thoughts?
2. A few familiar faces show up besides Luke. What do you think of the characterizations of Leia and Akbar so far?
3. What do you think of Nakari, her ship, and her father?
4. How are you liking it so far?
FYI - There's no need to answer all (or any) of the questions above - they're just talking points to get us started. Informal chatter is more than welcome! In-person book clubs often veer off topic, it's okay if we do as well. :)
All I ask is that you try to avoid spoilers for things past Part I of the book.
