Welcome to our second of four check-in and discussion posts for our Book of the Month.
This month’s book is Hard Contact (Star Wars: Republic Commando #1) by Karen Traviss
Chapters 6-10
Hard Contact Part 2
1. Padawan Etain seems uncomfortable as a Jedi military leader, yet her and Darman seem to have been able to forge a working relationship in a short amount of time. Based on what we know so far, do you think it likely she'll grow into the role and become proficient in leading clones during war?
2. Doctor Uthan ousted the Trade Federation contact in favor of Hokan - will that betrayal come back to haunt her or will Ankkit fade into obscurity?
3. What do you make of Jinart, the shapeshifter?
4. Do you think the squad will reunite soon or will they remain separated for most of the book?
5. Other thoughts or comments?
FYI - There's no need to answer all (or any) of the questions above - they're just talking points to get us started. Informal chatter is more than welcome! In-person book clubs often veer off topic, it's okay if we do as well. :)
All I ask is that you try to avoid spoilers for things past Part II of the book.
