Allegiance Part 4
Oct. 23rd, 2022 05:45 pmWelcome to our last of four check-in and discussion posts for our Book of the Month.
This month’s book is Allegiance by Timothy Zahn
Chapters 19-24
Allegiance Part 4
1. Lord Vader's stormtroopers are referred to as the 501st. What other remnants of the Galactic Republic do you imagine he holds on to?
2. When Mara crashes, LaRone surmises the crash is important and decides to go off to rescue the pilot. Does he not know the concept of keeping a low profile and avoiding detection? The move seemed to ironically put Mara, the deserters, and the rebels on the same sight of the fight. How many other characters in this book have a habit of rushing in?
3. Mara allows the AWOL stormtroopers to leave with their ship (not knowing of the rebels on board). In the end, does her vision of the Empire differ from theirs?
4. Other thoughts?
FYI - There's no need to answer all (or any) of the questions above - they're just talking points to get us started. Informal chatter is more than welcome! In-person book clubs often veer off topic, it's okay if we do as well. :) he book.
Next weekend is a bonus weekend - we'll be re-watching/talking about The Mandalorian: season 1
