Following her time in the clutches of Darth Vader, Doctor Aphra has barely escaped with her life. If he ever learns of her survival, he'll hunt her to the ends of the galaxy. But for now, it's time for a return to what she does best. With the droids 0-0-0 and BT-1 in tow, she's off in search of rare artifacts from the galactic center to the Outer Rim and everywhere in between. Aphra's got debts to pay after all. Just as long as she can stay one step ahead of the Empire, some Bounty Hunters and just about everyone else in the galaxy! (goodreads summary)

1. Aphra seems to be a genuine scoundrel without any allegiance to either side. Now that she's no longer working for Vader, do you think she'll remain neutral?

2. What are your thoughts on the Jedi Aphra's dad was on a quest to find?

3. What were some of your favorite panels?

4. Anything else?

As usual, there's no need to answer all (or any) of the questions. Please bring up other aspects of the volume as well.

ETA: Also, we have a 5-way tie in our August poll. So if you haven't yet voted, please stop by.

I read the first couple volumes of this a few years back and while I think I get why a lot of people like Aphra as a character and her story…I found her annoying from the start and that never changed. I feel like I can appreciate what Gillen was Trying To Say About Star Wars™ here, but it's not what I like about Star Wars and I never quite got past that.
