I don't know if it's been too much time between reading High Republic Era books, the confusing order and mix of media of which I've been sticking to Adult & YA novels only, or if it's just because the world is a dumpster fire the past couple of weeks - but I struggle to recall much about the characters. For example, I recognized Bell, Stellan, Burryaga right away but t took me a couple of pages to recognize Elzar. But I couldn't remember where we'd left off with them. IDK.

I like this author, so had high hopes that this book would draw me back into this era - I'm sure it's a 'me' problem. I will keep with it!

Even though I'm reading this for a second time, I'm finding very much the same problem. The younger characters in particular seem to have their own plotlines in YA novels and the High Republic Adventures comic (which I can't find) and it's bugging me a bit that even with a Marvel Unlimited subscription I just can't keep the characters straight or work out what they've been doing...

I'm finding that as I remembered before, I'm a victim of having read comics that come after this story, so while I'm struggling to remember a number of the characters and their personal stories, I know what's happening. It's making the experience feel disjointed for me, which is a bit of a pain...
