Date: 2024-12-01 06:10 pm (UTC)The pacing of this was difficult for me and, again, lacking in the connection I sense we're supposed to be feeling for these characters as disaster strikes.
I'm disappointed because I usually love this author's Star Wars books and just wasn't feeling this one.

Date: 2024-12-03 09:37 pm (UTC)I think the pacing perhaps felt odd to me because having announced what was going to happen, it then seemed to take a long time for things to then actually happen... or I may just be getting impatient?

Date: 2024-12-04 12:31 am (UTC)Seems like you and I had similar experiences with feeling disconnected from this one. That leads me to believe it isn't due to the other material you've been reading because I've only read the adult and YA books in order and still felt that way.
